A Duck's Perspective (or that of other various water fowl)

Perhaps I could knot some sticks together
and float out to the middle of the lake.
A duck's perspective
(or that of other various water fowl)--
that's what I'm after.
But alas, I'm no good with rope,
and the water's awfully chilly.
Still, I must wonder,
as I perch here on the bank,
how this all looks
from a duck's perspective
(or that of other various water fowl).
