1.3 The ghostly marble

of the night's churchyard surrounded me. The corner of my eye caught the dark brick of a wall spreading upward, fusing into the dark. On the far end of the yard, a thick oak, stood staring into the dead-markers. His black fingers swayed solemnly against the dark. We read from the stones. I can't remember any names.
